A veritable smorgasbord for the senses.
A film that manages to capture the joys in the most banal of moments in life. Perhaps Pixar's most mature work to date, this is less a kid's film than it is an adult's film. It provides a ravishing ode to gestures, touches, smiles, and pithy, pointless conversations. Leaving the movie theater, you can't help but feel ebullient and want to sing in the rain. The most hopeful existential film I've ever seen (writing this down almost feels like an oxymoron).
