Brooke Kamishlian’s review published on Letterboxd:
The comic strip detective finds his life vastly complicated when Breathless Mahoney makes advances towards him while he is trying to battle Big Boy Caprice's united mob.
A compelling and colorful comic book world with over the top prosthetics that enhance the over the top story even while disguising an over the top stacked cast. Names like Breathless, Flattop, McGillicuddy. Music from Danny Elfman.
I loved this movie as a kid, and I love it even more in this day and age.
Criminally underrated and perhaps ahead of its time, this movie has vividly stuck with me for over 30 years.
