    One of the most tripe and terrible Hollywood films I've seen in the past 5 years. This film makes Spiderman 3 look positively shiny in comparison.

    Exquisitely tense, slow-moving drama - always threatening to turn into an all-out explosion of violence that never quite materializes.
    J is an begrudging protagonist - silently taking blow after emotional blow - seemingly never snapping.

    I am thankful that the director mostly shied away from explicit violence - instead showing the creeping toll of parents' evil on their children . . .
