Third pass and all the stuff I clocked (correctly, but that’s hardly relevant) as absurd bullshit has really started to sing instead of grate - developing a real appreciation for this oddball blend between House of Games, Miami Vice and La Jetee that’s as expensive as all three combined! Still a few twists and (admittedly appropriate) un-twists that don’t entirely work for me, and I’m not sure it 100% sticks the tone, but even those quibbles can be largely forgiven following this simple mantra - we live in a twilight world, and there are no bugs but features!
