Dromagnoli’s review published on Letterboxd:
A stellar film but it pales in comparison to the first in several ways mainly I felt this film had poorer pacing and yet it still felt like there were things missing from it. I just simply wasn’t as invested in comparison. I still found the performances and direction to be great, Al and Robert particular standouts. The parts with Vito always seemed more compelling to me even though they were more minimal overall and after the intermission I found Michael’s story to be more uninteresting until the end. Still the story is good and has many compelling elements that all correlate to the rising and falling of power as well as family and betrayal. It couldn’t surpass the original for me though because it never really came close to impacting me as much.
