Film has been around for well over a century and still captures the hearts of so many people in so many ways. From the average cinema goer to the dedicated cinephile. Bringing out every emotion possible through visual beauty. An art form to be viewed by the masses and unpicked by the few.
The former grandeur and artistic glamour has since been lost in many ways but there are still those of us who appreciate the brilliance behind the entertainment.…

People really got their future predictions wrong in the 60s-80s...

Just to note I watched the final cut version.

I've also got to mention that Roy Batty's final monologue is my favourite piece of dialogue in film. It's so heart-breaking yet beautiful culminating the entire arc of a character in just a couple sentences paired with Rutger Hauer's perfect delivery.

A thematically rich exploration of human nature and morality sprinkling the philosophy of the mind throughout. Hidden behind the guise…

There were cars in this film. I've been swindled.

It's not the most amazing film in the world but it achieves what it wants to perfectly. It's meant to deliver action and thrills and that's exactly what we get.
Refreshingly smart and realistically thrilling. Gerard Butler is always a great protagonist in these films. It falls into a fair few clichés and the antagonists are incredibly uninteresting but the film structures itself in a way that feels like you're genuinely…

To discern a view is to create a memory. To watch a film is to enter a dream. To capture an image is to attain the beauty of a moment for a thousand of them.

A piano was murdered during the making of this film… I’m not sure if I can let that slide.

Bigger, more exciting, more complex… better?
I would say yes. But only just. An element of the unique style of the original feels a little lost and the characters don’t feel as engaging, however it’s definitely entertaining and I enjoyed it more than the original.
The way everything is threaded together was perfectly executed with multiple twists and turns which were…

They’ve all got brain damage from not breathing and you can’t change my mind.

The best word to describe this film is epic. James Cameron has continued the Pandora story in massive scale 13 years later in a more emotionally resonant, symbolically rich and similarly entertaining fashion.
The visuals and CGI are truly fantastic where it actually becomes difficult to differentiate between reality and computer image.
The film has everything the original had and builds upon it.
    It had some…
