i liked the songs! :)
i think i should've connected to the theming (the tagline of the movie) a lot more than i did, but it all just kind of felt very theater kid-ish, and that's a vibe i don't fuck with. especially all the emotional, teary-eye headshakes of characters thinking "he actually did it...!" it's a bit much for me. also, in these films about writers, i can't shake the feeling that everyone that isn't the main character is less of a person and more just a prop for inspiration. Robin de Jesus is fantastic here, but his and Alexandra Shipp's character really felt like that to me.
but when it's all said and done, i liked the songs. :))
