with people like Domee Shi and Enrico Casarosa, Pixar could be entering another golden age. in 3 years, we've gotten ππ°πΆπ, ππΆπ€π’, and now this. and i know not everyone agrees with this, but imho these are 3 of Pixar's most inspired and refreshing movies they've put out like, ever.
ππΆπ³π―πͺπ―π¨ ππ¦π₯ from the word go is a shot of delight for me. an honestly pretty bold movie stylistically and thematically (especially considering the response) and a VERY NECESSARY message for kids put in a creative and engaging way they can understand. this movie is so in love with being silly, it's wonderful. i actually saw this after ππͺπ¨π©π΅πΊπ¦π’π³ and even though i liked that movie enough the difference is ridiculously night and day. the way this movie moves can at sparing times be more hyperactive than even something like ππͺπ΅π€π©π¦ππ'π΄. the character animation is stupid good and i am all in on the bean mouth revolution. i was just in love with every little thing this movie threw at me.
this is one of those movies i can't wait to look back at 5 years from now and just go "wow... that was special." on the list of movies i NEED to show my kids. top tier Pixar. thank you Domee Shi for, even in the Disney machine, not being afraid to go there with personal and weird films.
