The Babadook ★★★★★

I'm sick to death of Haunting in Connecticuts, Last Exorcisms, and Insidiouses. And that's exactly why The Babadook is such a phenomenal breath of fresh air.

I can't think of a movie since 1981's Possession that has so brilliantly externalized the internal conflicts caused by love, grief, fear, and paranoia.

You want to see monsters? Turn on the news. You want to see evil? Look in the mirror. Look deep into your own eyes. However small, it's there.
