David Senior’s review published on Letterboxd:
I pretty much loved this. The critical backlash has me somewhat baffled, but then again, I found Deadpool interminable, so what do I know. This is far from perfect - the script needs tightening, and Doomsday is so piss-poor I had flashbacks to The Incredible Hulk's Abomination fight - but the performances are fabulous (kudos to Jeremy Irons' very different take on Alfred), the music outstanding, and the film aims for the brooding philosophical weight of a Nolan Dark Knight, or Watchmen. I still can't fully get behind Snyder, but this was a tremendous surprise.
