The first time I watched this I didn't realize how quiet this film was. I guess Chiron's pain and struggles were loud enough for me to not even notice how sparse the beautiful score was. It might also be that my sobbing was filling in the quiet scoreless moments...
Also, I cannot believe the level of Wong Kar-wai this film achieved. Barry Jenkins and James Laxton HAD ME BALT. AGAIN. THE SHOTS OF KEVIN AND BLACK WHEN THEY FIRST MADE EYE CONTACT AT THE DINER WERE JUST SO!!!! AND THE LAST SHOT OF LITTLE!!!! IM CRYING BIHH!
