  Embraces to the dumb fun of it all and gets progressively more engaging with it as it goes on. If anything though I just want to see a whole movie about Mr. G now.

  A brilliant, different kind of character study that offers an impeccable glimpse at dementia. Florian Zeller's direction does a terrific job of demonstrating both Hopkins' and Colman's perspectives, particularly Hopkins' whose loosening grip on reality and those around him is tremendously developed as the film continues, and it certainly helps that Hopkins' performance is absolutely phenomenal as well.
