This was so basic in its presentation that the content started to become uninteresting as well. The re-enactments didn't add anything and none of the interviewees' stories were fleshed out.

The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari 1920
Very impressive film, both narratively (with the early use of plot twists and non-linear storytelling) and technically (with the elaborate set design based on German expressionism and a wide variety of editing techniques).
It's also interesting to place this film in its historical context. A lot of triangles are used as symbols of hierarchy and power dynamics, which is fitting considering this film released in Germany during the interbellum.
