Dusty Lang’s review published on Letterboxd:
Watched this last night before going to bed and am astonished with how maddeningly tense this pressure cooker of a film is. This film shows me that Scott really has an almost Hitchcockian ability for deriving tension, and then keeping it steadily growing for the majority of its 2 hour runtime. Of course the brilliant staging and storytelling wouldn’t be that important without the two lead performances. Both Hackman and Washington are absolutely electric here, like two negative sides of magnets being forced to resist each other in a close quarters situation. Blown away by this film.
