Nathan’s review published on Letterboxd:
Holds up! It's skillful, exciting, clever, and more sophisticated and self-mocking than it was (largely) taken to be, both a participant in and send-up of Hollywood thriller conventions. It's still weird that Affleck cast himself -- top billing and everything! -- as Mexican-American Tony Mendez, but he mastered a hell of a distinctive walk and posture for the part and in and of itself it's an admirably odd performance in an admirably odd film.
