Nathan’s review published on Letterboxd :
I liked this less than the other two War Trilogy films but unlike those, it ended up with the rare full blog post on a first-time watch, mostly because of its unusual construction which doesn't lend itself to a quick, easily encapsulated reaction. Lots of spoilers at the link.
As noted there, the second segment (with the young boy and the black MP) and the final one (the terrifying Po River episode) would each merit four and a half to five stars on their own. The others scale down from 3.5 to 2.5 but I wouldn't say I disliked any of them, just found a couple of them comparatively inconsequential, and I have to admit I was unreasonably miffed by the conclusion of the monastery dinner scene.
