I don’t know why, but when she pulled off the skin of her finger, I stopped at that part and took a long cold shower. Phenomenal masterpiece with a career-best performance from Natalie Portman!
Upped my rating from a 4.5 when I first watched it this year’s March, and should have won Best Picture 🙈
This is my third rewatch, the first was last 2016 when I was twelve years old, the second was October 16 of last year in anticipation of Doctor Sleep, and today is the third. I rated this a 4.5/5 star rating every time I watched this. Why isn’t it a full five stars? Obviously a minor nitpick, but it wasn’t as scary as the book, until the third act of the film, where shit hits the fan.

I was supposed to watch this in the big screen, but my mother objected as she wasn’t in the mood for horror, so we watched Ford v Ferrari. That one I didn’t like, it was boring and dreadfully long for a biopic about cars. That film didn’t deserve its Best Picture nomination, that and 1917.
