Andrew ❦’s review published on Letterboxd:
The Orchard's hottest indie is Rosy. Filmed on 35mm, this black comedy thriller noir (?) is a potent but muddled effort from Jess Bond.
This film has everything: A naked naked brother, fluorescent lighting, glorified baby monitors, a sick score, faux (but maybe not faux) stockholm syndrome, violent fellatio, sleep deprived Johnny Knoxville in a dramatic role, an abrupt third act tonal shift that doesn't really work but is still entertaining, lingerie, again, Nat Wolff's bare ass, commentary on incel culture, Monk playing a doctor, Roman J. Israel, Esquire.
And be sure to check this one out if you didn't get enough of Stacy Martin giving head in Nymphomaniac.
