this is fucking heavy and it hits hard. a good deal of the plot deals with suicidal ideation, which i feel some people might appreciate knowing about before-hand, but it's a good overall message about finding meaning when you think you've hit the bottom. i really appreciated the message from this movie and the feelings it stirred. very touching.
this only gets basic points for jumpscares. not really comfortable with the amount of sexual violence around the plots in this movie. deeply uncomfortable and not because it's scary but because the subject matter is kinda repulsive. not a fan of hollywood using these things as a crux for essentially a monster movie.
Kangaroo Valley 2022
this movie is just clean and pure cinematography with amazing narration. there's some anthropomorphizing of the animals here and there but i found myself way more invested than i thought i'd be. basically the lion king with kangaroos.
