Hooptober 2020 - 30/31
Crazy to see a class full of film students who actually watch movies.
This was way better than I was expecting it to be. Sure it lacks any of the satirical weight of the first, and sure the premise of “anyone’s a suspect” is so under utilised and lazy here to the point that yeah, literally anyone could be a suspect as there was legit zero buildup to anyone in particular, and sure it gets caught up in its own 90s cheese at times...
It still hits enough levels of high entertainment, gives us some of our favourite characters back (before sadly taking them away), and hits a great opening scene almost as good as the original in its own special way.
It doesn’t get me excited for the next two though.
