Dylan Hastie’s review published on Letterboxd:
the story nico walker probably told was brutal and painful to talk and write about, but the russo brothers made this flashy, over-stylised, unnatural looking and even cliched film that made drugs seem interesting enough to fill 60% of the film. which to be honest made the pacing extremely slow.
i’ve read that the russo brothers should stick to sitcoms and i agree that they did make some of the best episodes of community and arrested development, i just don’t like their directing style outside of marvel even though i used to be annoyed that marvel/disney didn’t let them release their talents, i’m for the first time okay with having constraints on directors.
i don’t like saying so much negative stuff so
