Peter Bódi’s review published on Letterboxd:
I feel like the image of "human" chili dripping out of a cook-off trophy kinda sums up Texas Chainsaw 2 perfectly. It's more than sloppily filled to the brim with grisly gore (Tom Savini doing the Lords work), outlandish sets and set pieces, and the crazy antics of the Sawyer family.
On that note, Bill Moseley is a bit too much for me as Chop-Top, but he does spout out some amazing lines, like "Lick my plate you dogdick!", so it's all good. I do miss Gunnar Hansen's Leatherface, though.
As overindulgant it gets during the second half, all the stuff down the Family lair is fantastic. Relishing in its own macabre glory - at times I got the feeling I was watching the baptism of Robert Bartleh Cummings.
