Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse 2023
Would be as good as most of the other reviews are saying it is if it was like, 100 minutes. Animated Spider-Man movies should not be two hours and twenty minutes long.

A Man Called Otto 2022
Melodramatic, overwrought claptrap with the worst use of Kate Bush’s This Women’s Work in history. That said, it’s melodramatic claptrap that worked on me - I cried the last 30 minutes pretty much nonstop. Thus I am duty bound to give it 3.5 stars, and a warning.

Why does this movie have jumpscares?
It’s so close. Kill the jumps. Get rid of the intertitles and subtitles, cut out the creepy cartoons. Make it about duration and amp up the locational confusion — the terror of being in an impossible space is enough.
