Ed Küpfer’s review published on Letterboxd:
A constellation of B movie stars come together in this trashy (but not sleazy) thriller about a maniac cop on the loose in 80s New York. Compulsively watchable, the movie never lets any scene go on too long, lest the viewer start picking holes in the story. This is a b movie for sure, but there are some A level stunts (the paddy wagon going off the dock looked particularly dangerous), brought to you by 2nd unit director/savant Spiro Razatos.
Before tonight I'd only seen 5 movies in my life where actors who used a cane on screen held it in the proper hand (ie the hand opposite the damaged leg). Make it 6 now. I will note that, other than The Assignment, all of these movies are really good.
