John Wick: Chapter 2

John Wick: Chapter 2 ★★★★

You want a war? Or do you wanna just give me a gun?

Everything that worked in the first movie is dialed up to 11 in John Wick: Chapter 2. The settings are incredible and the cinematography complements the action very well, as does the score which was noticeably better in the sequel.

Obviously the kills had to be better and more creative, as they are, in order for the film to really be successful. I will say that, as far as the hand-to-hand combat goes, there were maybe one too many standard judo flips; however, I have to give well-deserved credit to the fight choreography as it’s pretty realistic and impressively brutal yet beautiful to watch.

Admittedly I’m a little anxious to see Parabellum since it’s most likely the final chapter in the trilogy, but I’m also very excited to watch Mr. Wick fuck shit up one last time.
