I've never enjoyed any post-Henson Muppet stuff, not just because of the weaker material but also because new voice actors means Kermit is always an impostor. Even so, the new Kermit voice is so awful here that even my kid--who likes almost everything--was unhappy about it.
If Trump has taught us anything it's that there's no way what Martin Sheen does in the last scene would derail the campaign of a populist asshole.
Hadn't seen this since it was a VHS new release and surprise, surprise, my 34-year-old memories of it's excellence were not 100% accurate. It very much plays like an adaptation: there's no real flow from episode to episode, it plays like a highlight reel of a longer work. A full extra star is earned by Walken, who nails this thing completely.
