Ecce Homo - I Sopravvissuti ★★½

Piccolo cult trash.

A family of three (wife, husband and son) is the only survivor of a nuclear war that apparently destroyed the entire mankind. However, problems start when they are joined by other two men who intend to perpetuate the human race using the only woman left alive. Hatred and anger soon grow resulting in violence, self destruction and eventually death. The film is too ambitious and hugely inspired by Marco Ferrari’s Il seme dell’uomo. Nevertheless, it’s still a fascinating and nihilist Italian sci-fi, pleasantly accompanied by a Ennio Morricone’s soundtrack.
