EJ Paras’s review published on Letterboxd:
This is the girl.
It's David Lynch. It's surreal. It's weird. It's erotic. I guess you could classify my dreams also as such (too weird? Whatever, pal, I just watched this mindfuck of a movie).
Without getting into the plot of the movie, I can tell you that this movie had me on-edge throughout my entire viewing. There's this uneasy, tense tone throughout, along with a few carefully-placed, darkly humorous moments, adding to the overall surrealism of the film.
I have my own interpretation of what Mulholland Drive means. And I like what it means. And I don't want to know if I'm right or wrong, because frankly, I don't know if any of our theories are right.
A part of me wants it to make more "sense" but I realize that sort of goes against what this movie is trying to say.
And happy birthday, Mr. Lynch.
