It’s time to learn a new film term everyone!!
Fridging- “killing off a female character, usually the significant other of the main male protagonist, in order to advance the plot in a rather lazy, sexist way.”
-Caitlin Durante (The Bechdel Cast)
I’ll use it in a sentence: Zack Snyder, like many male directors, has a problem with fridging women in his movies. (To be fair, the men get their due in this one as well, it’s just delayed.)
Ok now that that’s out of the way. Pretty epic zombie movie. Wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s well crafted but it gets points for being memorable.
The Coyote was so cool but more pointedly, they made Ella Purnell’s character so annoying.
Overall, the cinematography is slightly distracting and the runtime overstays it’s welcome but there are worse things to watch!
