This movie is visually very impressive, but that's really it. There's not much else about this movie that I can really say will elicit a response that isn't boredom otherwise. Nothing is particurlaly incompetent, it's just dull outside of its visuals. I would try to explain why it's so boring in spite of its interesting premise and visuals but I can't actually remember anything that happened, or who the characters were. It's just a glorified tech demo basically.

A piece of beautifully surreal science fiction. The visuals and atmosphere are fantastic, the soundtrack adds to the mystery and tension built up throughout. The biggest weakness is the characterization, which is weak outside the main character. It isn't afraid to be wierd, and I believe that is it's best quality.

Every joke boils down to either that, the same sorts of jokes you'd see in every other generic stoner comedy, or food puns. I have sat through significantly more undercooked movies, but this one takes the cake for having one of the more lazily written, half-baked scripts. Every character is a salty douche (including the actual douche), the plot has more holes than swiss cheese, and the movie as a whole left a bad taste in my mouth.
