ladies, we’re about to go mute just so someone admits us to a hospital & we are assigned a nurse to take the two of us to a private island where we slowly slip into madness together.
definitely not a film that can be summarized, especially after a rewatch. but to me, the thing that stands out is the yearning; for touch, solitude, understanding. the opportunity to take down your walls. it also seems to explore the illusion of closeness that can come just from spilling your fears & regrets to someone that you think will lock them away.. treating someone as a vessel.
