as an indecisive libra i don’t do well with ‘favorites’ but i don’t care altman is my favorite director, and even saying that feels reductive of what he’s able to achieve.
it’s so detailed that it will keep your brain weaving between stories for hours after you finish it. the bursts of laughter between sherri & marian are what i love the most. i can still hear it, even though it takes up maybe 20 seconds of the screen time. also need to speak my truth and say that modine & rdj are both very hot... the scene where rdj was doing lili taylor’s makeup... the party scene with modine... and i cannot forget to mention jennifer jason leigh too. basically was unprepared for how hot everyone would be, and it may be peak altman just for that reason alone.
