I got my bachelor's degree in abnormal psychology, and I've always been interested in the depiction of this subject matter in cinema. This list covers a very broad range illnesses and even includes films which only briefly cover certain specific disorders (e.g. the character of Curtis' mother in Take Shelter). If you'd like me to specify how a certain film qualifies for the list, leave a question in the comments. A number of these choices are somewhat speculative, but please make sure that you're aware of the breadth of the phrase "mental disorders" before leaving any comments complaining about certain films being included in the list.
