This film was incredibly unsettling for me the whole way through, not only because of the general uneasiness of every scene but because it also so vehemently contradicted my idea of a movie-musical. Adam Driver couldn't have been more committed to his character if he'd tried.
I just wish they had let Marion Cotillard finish a damn apple.
