Where to start with this one….
A very harrowing tale of a family where everything appears to be fine on the outside, yet the son is sexually abusing his own father. Tense, awkward, and effective. Although it’s shitty, but seeing a role reversal with familial abuse and incest helps amplify the horrors of sexual abuse to see it in an abnormal representation that we’re used to. We feel the father’s pain in his shame, self blame, helplessness, fear, and struggle…
This movie more or less is a soap box for the entirely delusional incels to go off about how they’re outsiders rejected from society but never really considering why. I wish this went further and deeper into the culture and how we got here, and WHY the greater society does not fuck with this kind of person. With context to the culture, you get it. If you weren’t to have context, you may sympathize which makes the movie far less objective.
