I didn't always get the reason Psycho was so highly rated, but now I understand and it's one of my favorite films of all. It's essentially two different movies - a crime thriller about a woman stealing from her employer and a horror film, set at a country motel in the middle of nowhere. Now I know why Hitchcock insisted on people arriving before the start of the film - to prevent it ruining the shocking revelation.
E.T. is one of my favorite movies ever. I will never forget the first time I saw it. It left an unimaginable impression on me and I never tire of it.
