Brian McLain’s review published on Letterboxd:
Watched with the kids... we were all bawling at the end. Even my 5 year old picked up on the allegory. This is right up there with Gravity as beautifully executed allegorical films about loss and love. The threads of this film are woven together so seamlessly that while on the surface you feel like it may need to be explained, it actually makes perfect sense if you just let yourself flow with the story... like the best of fairy tales. The Secret of the Kells was already a family favorite, so Tomm Moore has immediately become a must watch director/creator in our home.
