A beautiful blend of horror and neo-western aesthetics. The spur used as a throat-slitter is iconic. And the hotel shootout with the added threat of sunlight was brilliant too. Bill Paxton obviously steals the show, but the rest of the vampire family is equally entertaining. Especially compared to how bland the lead couple is.
Pretty crazy that this came out the same year as The Lost Boys. Two very similar ideas executed in completely different ways.
