Emil Woerner’s review published on Letterboxd:
Honestly, it took a while to get behind what this film was shooting for conceptually, but in the finale, I think I got the whole thing. I understand why this film is so impactful for feminist, surreal, and erotic filmmaking now, especially given how delicate, real, and faithful Buñuel was to these characters and this story. Catharine Deneuve is becoming one of my favorite actresses, and she blew me away in this performance. Ill have to watch it again soon and elaborate, in more detail, my thoughts on some things here and there, but overall, I loved it, would recommend it, and will watch it again very soon.
