Emil Woerner’s review published on Letterboxd:
Wow! Razor sharply written and angry satire of the American political system. Full of great performances from Reese Witherspoon - who blew me away here, I think it’s her best performance I’ve seen so far - and Matthew Broderick, who proves his chops as a perfect antihero late in his career. Alexander Payne has always been a top notch dude for me, but this one really blew me away. It’s unrelenting and horrific and showcases morality within a political system. Finally it reminds me of Happiness or another Todd Solondz movie more than anything else. Makes me want to catch up and rewatch his stuff. Great movie.
