Emil Woerner’s review published on Letterboxd:
Holy moly this movie was fucking CRAZY. Alright, I absolutely loved most of this movie. Opening in a tense twenty minutes, it slowly settles into its best ten minute stretch, followed by an hour of pure paranoia and suspense. The structure and ambiguity make it so much harder to understand, but maybe I was tired...or maybe I didn’t miss a thing. The film got corny, the plot was a little too ambiguous at times, and I have all kinds of questions - but that’s not really a bad thing here. If you want a chilling horror/suspense film that takes its steps into fantasy and drama, this is pretty damn up your alley. I’m giving it an 8/10 because I think I need to rewatch it to bump it up, but the more I think about it the happier I am about this movie. Really need to watch more of Shimizu’s stuff.
