    wow. this was amazing. the ability of this real life story set in the seventies to parallel the political, social, and racial climate of today is quite honestly terrifying but very important. 
    I feel like Spike Lee was able to effectively use this story to place a mirror in front of American society and put all the pieces together, reminding us that the fight against white supremacy and bigotry is not over.

    so the other day i was feeling a little lonely but at the same time  nostalgic for middle school days so i went on omegle.com and ended up talking to this brazilian girl about movies and she told me that in her country My Own Private Idaho is called "Prostitute Boys" and honestly i can't stop thinking about that and how the one movie that means so much to me in this world is literally prostitute boys in brazil and i hope someday i can buy a copy like that
