Also? Stylistically??? This is such a good representation of the era and I feel like it should be regarded as a time capsule of sorts for that black mirror-esque cybergoth misanthropy that permeated the media leading up to y2k. It’s a product of its time in the absolute best way possible.
I can’t even tell you why but I was so enthralled by this movie on a level I’ve never experienced before. It’s just so beautifully shot and focuses on both a uniquely feminine experience from a uniquely feminine perspective and did I mention it’s absolutely gorgeous???
