What to watch after Ex Machina: Moon, Ghost in the Shell, Sunshine

At this point anything with Oscar Isaac is unmissable, in my opinion.

I finally saw this last night and haven't been able to stop thinking about it. The more I think about it, the more I like it. It's a movie about ideas. Ideas that come in a vessel of beautiful visuals, stellar soundtrack (Geoff Barrow of Portishead and Ben Salisbury) and ah, the sound design. The gentle whirring of mechanics and the ever so gentle sound of artificial skin being removed created by sound designer Glenn Freemantle will have you keenly aware of all sounds around you long after the credits roll. Not all the ideas are fully explored but what is examined swirls in your mind and takes residence.

It's crazy just how close we are to AVA (robotics, wise): youtu.be/wFwPvctgv6M?t=10s
