I don’t necessarily have good taste but I sure like to give things ratings.
I’m not sure why but this viewing really hurt my heart. As in, I was borderline sobbing by the last scene.
This movie can be kinda clunky at times, but the last 30 minutes or so makes every fault forgivable. Sheryl Lee played Laura Palmer so perfectly and powerfully.
Is my attention span shrinking? This movie somehow felt too long. Maybe because the acting was bad + any supposed romantic chemistry was nonexistent. Also, I hate the look and vibe of the villain.
BUT there were parts where the tension was pretty good. Loved the fashion and the music. Sets things up well for a sequel. Good campy fun.
Give the people what they truly want!!!! (Auden x Maggie wlw storyline)
Supportive, female friendships <33333
Absolutely any scene with Maggie
Heidi, the stepmom
Heidi, the MILF
Auden’s smile is so pure
The plot, which is absolutely nothing to write home about
Most of the acting
Auden x Eli
Eli as a character
The prom dress reveal… disappointing
Auden’s dad getting a redemption arc
Although it’s nothing special, it manages to be a fun, sweet, and easygoing watch.
But seriously… Maggie and Auden end up dorm roommates?! It writes itself.
