  • Jiro Dreams of Sushi

    Jiro Dreams of Sushi 2011

★★★½ Watched by Emma Hampton 15 Jul 2022

Have a feeling this will appeal a bit more to people who actually like sushi.

  • Warmduscher at Glastonbury 2022

    Warmduscher at Glastonbury 2022 2022

★★★★½ Watched by Emma Hampton 04 Jul 2022

I didn’t see this in-person. I’m kind of wishing I did, even though I did their set at Truth Stage at 5am that day instead (and I’d give that a full five stars).

  • Buffalo '66

    Buffalo '66 1998

★★★★ Watched by Emma Hampton 06 Jul 2022

"Baby, do you want to come home with me? I've got Buffalo '66 on DVD"

  • Brian and Charles

    Brian and Charles 2022

    ★★★★ Watched by Emma Hampton 04 Jul 2022 1

More fool the entire rest of the cinema, who left before Charles Petrescu‘s rap came on over the end credits.

  • Elvis

    Elvis 2022

★★★½ Watched by Emma Hampton 29 Jun 2022

I thought this was a really good performance from Austin Butler, but simultaneously couldn’t get my mind to buy into the notion that he was Elvis - because (inevitably) he didn’t look, and to a lesser extent move, exactly like him. Which is probably more my problem.

  • Self Esteem at Glastonbury 2022

Self Esteem at Glastonbury 2022 2022

★★★★★ Rewatched by Emma Hampton 01 Jul 2022

I think this was my gig of Glasto ‘22: beaten only by her secret set later this day at Greenpeace. Which was like watching this again but I was closer, everyone was more drunk and she also played The Best.

  • Good Luck to You, Leo Grande

Good Luck to You, Leo Grande 2022

★★★★ Watched by Emma Hampton 01 Jul 2022

Went to see this primarily because it’s filmed entirely in Norwich and has my favourite ice cream shop in it. I’m really glad I did.

  • Diana Ross at Glastonbury 2022

Diana Ross at Glastonbury 2022 2022

★★★★½ Watched by Emma Hampton 26 Jun 2022

Disclaimer: I was in the crowd and I haven’t seen the recording yet. I’ve heard less promising things from those who only saw it on telly. It genuinely looked/sounded great from where I was stood.

  • Paul McCartney at Glastonbury 2022

Paul McCartney at Glastonbury 2022 2022

★★★★½ Watched by Emma Hampton 25 Jun 2022

I was there and enjoyed it much more than the rest of my camp.  There was a lot of nonsense, but punctuated by Beatles/Wings songs regularly enough for it to be fine. I’d give the last hour-ish of this a very solid five stars. Also, Bruce Springsteen (!!!).

  • Oxide Ghosts: The Brass Eye Tapes

Oxide Ghosts: The Brass Eye Tapes 2017

Glastonbury 2022 Pilton Palais screening with Michael Cumming intro.

  • Orlando

    Orlando 1992

★★★★½ Rewatched by Emma Hampton 23 Jun 2022

Glastonbury 2022 Pilton Palais screening with Tilda Swinton intro and Q&A (♥️♥️).

  • Summer of Soul (...or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised)
