Everything Everywhere All at Once

Everything Everywhere All at Once ★★★★★

when my gong gong and popo immigrated from china, my popo raising my mother alongside her at the family laundromat, the idea that there would be a movie about the everyday reality of people like us—celebrating and grieving our love and trauma and the way we express it without asking us to change who we are—was unimaginable. and now i’ve just seen it, a movie that makes breathtaking, energetic cinema from the lives, not just the faces, of people like me, and despite having watched it less than an hour ago, it still feels impossible.
