This has become one of my not-so-guilty pleasures that I wind up watching whenever it is on TV. It is low-commitment, decently funny, and shot better than it has any right to be. I've seen it like 4 or 5 times (!) at this point so it clearly has appealed to me in some way.
The feminism is truly of the white woman 2nd wave variety but Diane is being Diane and she tongue-kisses peak Sam Shepard multiple times and that is worth an extra half-star. Maybe the only Meyers movie without a gorgeous kitchen?
