I should’ve reviewed this immediately but like always I got distracted.
I luckily knew next to nothing about this movie before I saw it. I did know “people” hated the Bruce Lee depiction, but after watching thought “🤷🏼♀️.”
There was a slow building to this film I appreciated. It didn’t scream Tartantino until the last section of the film. I liked that A LOT.
There were beautiful things that happened with light and movement. Textures. Aesthetic choices to trigger disgust.
I don’t hate the premise towards an iconic moment in American history that the film made. Controversial? Maybe? But I think it was played well and tastefully. I’d watch this again several times over.
Also... for the zombie apocalypse or just the collapse of American society, I’ll take a flame thrower please.
