  It's doing a lot of things, not all of it completely works but it tells an interesting story about how black veterans are treated in this country.

  Chris Tucker plays Chris Tucker which was some times distracting considering how serious the rest of the film was.
  Larenz Tate is a gem and carries this film well and Bokeem Woodbine is severely underrated to this day.

  I love it so much, yes it's doing a lot but it just works so well to me, especially on a rewatch.
  The twists were hitting, the social commentary was apt, it looks gorgeous, the heist was tense and everyone is giving a career best performance.

  Truly just impeccable

  For a movie based on one of the funniest twitter threads in history it is DRY as hell. Felt like nothing was accomplished, film had nothing to say and also lead performance was not doing it for me
